Good deed for the day

We thought we would help Bonaire today as we seem to be becoming locals at this rate. We did a litter (trash) pick up along the coastline of four beaches and dive sites.

I thought the island was pristine, but four bin loads later I have very much changed my mind!!

The amount of plastic washed up on the shore, dropped on the beaches and car parks is saddening. Hopefully we’ve done a small bit to reduce it.

Thanks to s/y Pearl for the great idea and loan of gloves! The children are (even more) passionately anti-plastic now 👍.

This weeks boat-school project is on the oceans and we’ve Blue-Planet Live lesson-ed. So we are all plastic-out.
